Trail Work Day - Sat 12/5 at 8:30am
Off Dewey Hill Road
With snow in the forecast for Sunday, we are going to sneak in a trail work day on Saturday 12/5 at 8:30am to try and finish cutting the steep side-hill for the new Bell Hill Connector Trail.
We worked on this last weekend and it was tough going with no snow on the ground. So getting it done before the snow flies is a priority.
We will be meeting at a log yard off Dewey Hill Road on Saturday 12/5 at 8:30am (look for directions below).
You can walk in to the work location if you want but it would be better if you brought an ATV.
If you have a chain saw, please bring it along. Also be sure to bring gloves and your own lunch and drinks.
Most of the work will be cutting and throwing brush. The weather is supposed cloudy with temps in the low 30's and scattered snow showers.
Directions by car:
Take Rt. 110 to Bell Hill Road.
Cross over the RR tracks and go 1/4 mile.
Take a right on Dewey Hill Road and go 3/4 mile until you see a log yard on the right.
Park in this log yard and unload your ATV.
Continue east on Dewey Hill Road another 1/8 mile and take a left into another log yard.
FOLLOW THE PINK FLAGS to the work area (about 1/3 mile north).
