We are going to have a trail work day to start preparatory work on the new Bell Hill Connector Trail. We will be meeting at the snowmobile trail/ power line crossing on Paris Road on Saturday 11/7 at 8:30am.
There are two major tasks we want to accomplish:
1) Mark the landowners property boundary with paint
2) Cut along the route of the new trail and in the vicinity of one of the stream crossings
It is not very far to get to these work areas so you can easily walk in. If you have an ATV and you don't mind rough terrain, then by all means bring it along.
We will also welcome chain saws, brush cutters, hand cutting tools. Be sure to bring gloves and also bring your own lunch and drinks.
Most of the work will be cutting and throwing brush to the sides of the new trail. The weather is supposed to be nice so please come if you can.
Directions by car:
Take Rt. 110 to Paris Road.
You will go across a set of RR tracks and come to an intersection.
Continue through the intersection and park on the right side of the road when you see the power line. This is about 1.4 miles from Rt. 110.
