We are planning a trail work day for Saturday September 21, 2019 to finish the railing and runners on the 90' Nash Stream Bridge.
Last weekend we got the bulk of the work done with decking, rail posts, rail supports and most of the railing installed.
It should not take more than a few hours to finish the job.
We will be meeting at the west bridge ramp at 8:30am.
To get there, take Rt. 110 east from Groveton to Emerson Road. Take a left on Emerson Road and proceed 1.4 miles to a triangular intersection.
Take a left at that intersection onto Northside Road and then go 600 feet and take a right onto Log Hollow Road (gravel road). There is a sign on the corner of Log Hollow Road for the Groveton Trailblazers snowmobile club.
Follow Log Hollow Road for 1/4 mile until you see a dirt road going into a field on the right which leads to the bridge site.
Please bring bug spray, gloves and sunscreen. We will have all of the tools so no need to bring anything else.
I hope to see you there. Remember that this is the second longest bridge that we have worked on and this will be the last chance for you to be part of the project.
