We are planning a short trail work day for Saturday June 8, 2019.
The goal for the day is to cut down the trees along the east and west approaches for the new 90' long Nash Stream Bridge. The west approach is about 800' long and the east approach is about 200' long. Each of these must be cut 25' wide so we are clearing an area of 25,000sf or about 1/2 acre.
We will be meeting at the CREDIT CARD GAS STATION in Stark at 8:30am. (Please note: We will NOT be meeting at Gord's Corner Store).
The gas station is located about 1/8 mile east of the Groveton Trailblazers clubhouse. The address of the gas station is 890 Northside Road, Stark 03582. If you get there late, follow the snowmobile trail on the east side of the river north about 800 feet and you will find us.
If you want to bring your ATV, that is fine but we can drive in very close to the work area so having an ATV is not required.
Please bring gloves and if you have a chain saw, bring that too. Most of the trees we have to cut down are small so there will be a lot of brush throwing.
If we get a big enough crew, we should be done before lunch.
I hope to see you there!
