We are going to have a short trail work day on Sunday, Sept. 23rd starting at 10:00am at the intersection of Corridor D and Dummer Pond Road.
The purpose of this work day is to install the rubber diverters on the the steep hill on the Cedar Brook Road trail (Corridor D) as it descends to Dummer Pond Road.
Please bring hand tools like a shovels, hoes and hard tine rakes. The majority of the digging will be done by Matt Godbout with his excavator, but putting the dirt back in around the diverters is where your help is needed.
To get there by trail:
Take Corridor D east from Gord's Corner Store following Rt. 110A for 2.8 miles. Take a left onto Cedar Brook Road and follow the trail another 2.8 miles until it intersects with Dummer Pond Road at the bottom of a steep hill.
To get there by car:
From Gord's Corner Store, take Rt. 110A east 3.75 miles to Rt. 16. Follow Rt. 16 north for 1.25 miles and take the gravel road that forks to the left. Follow the gravel road for 1/2 mile where you will see the trail entering from the left.
Matt Godbout will be there in his excavator and will be directing the installation of the diverters. Matt thinks it will not take more than 2 or 3 hours to do the installation.
