We are having our 16th trail work day on Saturday October 21, 2017. This work day will be devoted spreading gravel on Cedar Pond Road and painting our new gate on the Head Pond Trail where it connects to Rt. 110B.
We will be meeting at Gord’s Store in Milan and at 8:30am then going to Cedar Brook Road. Once there, we will load some gravel onto my flat bed trailer (with my tractor) to be used for potholes away from the gravel location. I plan to use my tractor bucket to move the majority of the gravel.
Here are directions for meeting us at Gord’s Corner Store; From Rt. 3 in Groveton, take Rt. 110 east 13.5 miles to the junction of Rt. 110 and Rt. 110A and you will see Gord’s Corner Store. Gord’s has coffee, breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches so it is a great place to stock up for the trail work day. If you get there late, ask for directions to Cedar Brook Road at the store.
Please bring gloves, a shovel and a metal rake. If you have an ATV, please bring it. If you do not have an ATV, you can drive to the work locations in your vehicle. I need at least one volunteer to paint the gate so if you like painting, please let me know.
Free accommodations are available for anyone coming from out of town. If you are planning to attend, please call or email.
