We are having a trail work day on Saturday, August 27th at 10:00am.
There will be two work locations along Cedar Brook Road in Dummer. Take Rt. 110A north from Gord's Store 3 miles and then take a left onto Cedar Brook Road. There are three piles of gravel located at mile .8, mile 1.4 and mile 2.4.
Andy Thibodeau will be loading gravel with his tractor at the first mile marker onto a flat trailer. This gravel will need to be hand shoveled into potholes along the road section of the trail.
Larry Gomes will be loading gravel with his tractor at the last mile marker. This gravel will be loaded onto a special ATV trailer that will be operated by Trail Master Emile Croteau from the Millsfield ATV club. His trailer can dump, but the gravel will still need to be shoveled by hand to fill ruts and potholes on the steep hill going down to Dummer Pond Road.
We need volunteers with shovels and rakes to help us with this project. Please bring gloves, water and lunch since this project will take at least 4-5 hours to complete.
You are welcome to bring your ATV but you can also drive your car to any of these locations. Please find one of our tractor operators out on the trail and ask them for instructions.
Thank you for helping with this critical project.
